For current and potential users of Chemspeed instruments we will offer short courses for those who want to brush-up on their user knowledge and learn more about new techniques, tools and technologies on the instruments. You will be able to choose two from the following four 3-hour short courses.

S1. AutoSuite™ Workflow Software
Reaction Preparation, Sample Preparation, Synthesis, and Formulation, all controlled and executed by one easy to use software.

Get the maximum out of your Chemspeed workstation by discovering AutoSuite™ Workflow Software features for advanced users and learn about the latest software improvements! Programming macro tasks, loops and use of variables will be reviewed. You can submit your application questions in advance (olaf.koehler@chemspeed.com) for discussion during the seminar.

• Learn how to use macro tasks, variables and mathematical formulas in AutoSuite™
• Understand advanced features of AutoSuite™ editor, including data import and export possibilities
• Master setting up AutoSuite™ to communicate with 3rd party equipment

S2. High-Precision Scaleable Tank-Reactor Technology
Process R+D, Polymerization, Catalyst Preparation and Testing
Process R+D, Scale-up, Polymerization, Catalyst Preparation and Testing, highly precise and scaleable.

Learn more about the manifold possibilities of the individual high precision MiniPlant tank reactors, from emulsion polymerization, reproducible and scaleable gram-scale synthesis, to pH-controlled catalyst preparation and polymerizations under pressure.

• Explore the potential of Chemspeed’s high precision MiniPlant tank reactors
• Master advanced programming of applications: conditional programming, automatic calculations, etc.
• Expand your knowledge of standard applications: high temperature (up to 400°C), pH control with both acids and bases in one application, etc.

S3. Microwave Synthesis on the SWAVE

Microwave technology and the benefits of automated workflows will be introduced. Become familiar with the concept of automated preparation, synthesis and work-up by the analysis of typical applications in batch or sequential mode, including sampling and multi-step synthesis.

• Maximization of automation equipment by sequential programming and duplication of microwave synthesis

S4. Gravimetric Solid Dispensing on Chemspeed Workstations
Reaction Preparation, Sample Preparation, Synthesis, and Formulation with Chemspeed’s unique Gravimetric Overhead Dispensing.

Solid dispensing as easy and convenient as liquid handling. Learn more about the principles of solid dispensing and the strategies for easy optimization from both software and hardware perspectives.

• Determine the most appropriate dispensing designs and develop new standard designs
• Create solutions for difficult solids and customize dispensing designs
• Optimize fast dispensing parameters: speed vs. precision
• Review the substance database
